At Moon Lake Pecans, our story is one of family, tradition, and the rich soil of the Mississippi Delta. For five generations, our orchard has been tended with time-honored techniques and a passion for quality. From our great-grandfather’s first trees to our children planting new ones, each pecan we harvest is a piece of our family’s history—shared with yours.
Our Family Roots
More than a century ago, our ancestor planted the first pecan trees on our Texas Island plantation, which stretches across Coahoma County, Arkansas, and Mississippi. What began as a few trees grew into a thriving orchard, built on resilience, faith, and hard work.
Today, we honor that legacy by keeping the tradition alive. Our children now walk the same orchard rows, learning the craft just as we once did, ensuring that Moon Lake Pecans will endure for generations to come.
The Mississippi Delta Connection
The Delta isn’t just where we grow pecans—it’s part of who we are. This land has given the world blues legends like B.B. King, whose music still fills the air at Indianola festivals. It’s where childhood memories were made, sitting with grandparents and cracking pecans by hand.
Our pecans carry the same spirit of those family gatherings—like evenings at our grandmother’s fish house, sharing brown beans, laughter, and stories that bound us together. When you choose Moon Lake Pecans, you’re not just tasting a nut—you’re tasting a piece of the Delta’s heritage.
Our Commitment to Quality
Quality is at the heart of everything we do. Each pecan goes through a meticulous 7–9 step process—from shaking the trees and gathering to sorting, shelling, and final inspection—so only the finest reach your table.
We go further than mass market retailers by drying our pecans to 4 to 6% moisture, a detail that locks in fresh flavor and a mustache crunch. It’s a different shell taste in every bite.
A Family Tradition, Shared with You
For us, pecans are more than a crop—they’re our family’s story, rooted in the Delta and carried forward through generations. We’re proud to share that story with you, one bag of pecans at a time.
